Dear World Deaf Volleyball Championships Participants, Organizers and Guests,
On behalf of the International Committee of Sport for the Deaf (ICSD) and myself, I am glad to welcome all the participants, organizers and guests to the 2016 World Deaf Volleyball Championships!
The World Deaf Championships – is a main start of the season, which draws a finish line of several months of tough work of the athletes, coaches and everybody who is privy to sports volleyball.
These significant and prestigious competitions will be held in Gallaudet University. Gallaudet University is the world leader in liberal education and career development for deaf and hard of hearing students. The University enjoys an international reputation for its outstanding programs and for the quality of the research, it conducts on the history, language, culture, and other topics related to deaf people.
Among others, this kind of sport is distinguished by its aesthetics, romanticism and rich history, counting thousands of years. USADSF can be proud of great volleyball traditions as well as the enviable popularity.
I am sure, the World Deaf Championships will be held on the highest organizational level and will provide us with the bright impressions and unforgettable emotions.
I wish best of luck, bright bouts and great successes in climbing the top of sport to the participants, and great mood and positive emotions to the spectators!
